Merkel
M 19 MERKEL ROTOMATIC Rotary Shaft Seal
The M19 sealing ring consists of the elastomer rubber part with fabric reinforcement on the sliding surface and plastic anti-extrusion rings. The medium collects in the lubricating groove on the sliding surface and acts as a lubricant. This improves lubrication as well as reducing friction and frictional heat. This sealing element can withstand high pressures due to the anti-extrusion rings bridging the extrusion gap, and the seals can be fitted into recessed groove housings. Rotary seals Mills Civil engineering Link pins General machinery Steel production Swivel / pivot seal Pressure 400 bar/ 5800 PSI Shaft Surface Speed 0.2 m/s / .64 ft/s |
M15 Rotary Shaft Seal
The M 15 is a double-acting seal set for pivoting motion in hydraulic systems. It has a profile ring and an O-ring as energizing elements, with inside sealing. Rotary seals Mills Civil engineering Link pins General machinery Steel production Swivel / pivot seal Pressure 400 bar/ 5800 PSI Shaft Surface Speed 0.5 m/s / 1.6 ft/s |

RADIAMATIC R58 Shaft Seal
The R 58 Radiamatic shaft seal consists of a fabric reinforced section of sturdy design, firmly bonded to the rubber sealing lip. A helical tension spring assists radial contact pressure of the lip on the shaft. The shaft seals are installed with the sealing lip towards the outside (against water and sinter). The sealing lip, designed to have a higher contact pressure, ensures that only the required seal lubrication film is allowed to pass. The R 58 Radiamatic shaft seal is designed for rolling mills and large gear mechanisms in heavy-duty machine construction. The R 58 has been developed to meet the special requirement of grease-lubricated bearing in rolling mill applications. Pressure 0.5 bar/ 7.25 PSI Shaft Surface Speed 25 m/s / 80 ft/s |
M17 Rotary Shaft Seal
The M17 sealing ring consists of a rubber part held firmly on both sides by fabric blocks, providing lubrication on the sliding surface. The fabric blocks prevent the seal from extruding into the sealing gap and, with the sealing element firmly held at the outside diameter, they prevent circumference distortion. Rotary seals Mills Civil engineering Link pins General machinery Steel production Swivel/ pivot seal Pressure 200 bar/ 2900 PSI Shaft Surface Speed 0.1 m/s / .32 ft/s |
RADIAMATIC R35 Shaft Seal
The Radiamatic 1635 shaft sealing rings are installed backto- back. A lantern ring is included so that lubricant can be forced between the sealing rings. They are used whenever adequate lubrication is ensured by the medium to be sealed. Rotary seals Mills Civil engineering Forging Heavy-duty cylinders General machinery Steel production Ship building Wind turbines Bearings Pressure 0.5 bar/ 7.25 PSI Shaft Surface Speed 25 m/s / 80 ft/s |
RADIAMATIC R36 Shaft Seal
The Style 1636 shaft sealing rings are used when additional lubrication is necessary from the outside. These sealing rings are usually fitted in pairs back-to-back. This combination effectively seals the bearing lubricant and prevents the penetration of dust and splash water. The lubrication is fed between the sealing rings by means of the groove in the circumference of the sealing housing and the radial groove in the seal body. |
The Style 1637 shaft sealing rings are used when additional lubrication is necessary from the outside. These sealing rings are usually fitted in pairs back-to-back, and this combination effectively seals the bearing lubricant and prevents the penetration of dust and splash water. The sealing rings have a peripheral groove on the outer periphery in addition to the radial grooves.
